Our Story

Thique began with a problem that felt deeply personal to its founder, Rutwik Shankar. Hair loss is often dismissed as a cosmetic concern, but anyone who has experienced it knows it goes far beyond appearance. It can quietly shape confidence, self image, and the way a person sees themselves every day. For Rutwik, those concerns started early. Growing up with a family history of hair loss meant constantly wondering what the future might hold. At the same time, an unhealthy lifestyle and stress accelerated the problem. In 2021, a journey of personal transformation began. More than 40 kilograms were lost. Health, fitness, and discipline became priorities. Along the way came a powerful realization. Meaningful change rarely comes from shortcuts. It comes from consistency, patience, and making the right choices over time. Hair became an important part of that journey, not because it solved everything, but because it showed how closely confidence and self care are connected.

Thique was also shaped by years of exposure to the world of dermatology. For more than two decades, Rutwik's family has been closely connected to dermatological care. Growing up around conversations about skin health, hair health, treatments, and patient experiences created an early appreciation for the science behind effective care and the trust people place in it. Years later, after studying engineering in India, completing postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom, and gaining experience across different professional paths, Rutwik found himself returning to a question that had always stayed with him. Why was it still so difficult to find hair care that felt both trustworthy and honest?

That question became the starting point for Thique. A brand built on science, honesty, and consistency. No miracle claims. No overnight transformations. No false hope. Just carefully formulated products backed by evidence and created for people who want to take control of their hair journey with confidence. Thique starts with a single product, but the mission goes beyond hair growth. It is about helping people feel a little more confident every time they look in the mirror.
